Celebrity Traitors is set to return to BBC screens next month, with a new cast of famous faces taking on the ultimate test of trust and deception.
Hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, the second series will see 21 celebrities battle it out in the Scottish Highlands.
The players will compete for the chance to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charities.
Joining the cast is British comedian James Acaster.
Who is James Acaster?
James Acaster is one of Britain's most acclaimed stand-up comedians.
He is known for his unusual storytelling style, surreal observations, and meticulously constructed shows.
Born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, on January 9, 1985, he originally played drums in local bands before turning to stand-up comedy full-time in 2008.
Acaster built his reputation through the UK live comedy circuit and particularly the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Between 2012 and 2016, he achieved a record-breaking five consecutive nominations for Best Comedy Show, establishing himself as one of the most respected performers in British comedy.
His biggest international breakthrough came with Repertoire, a four-part Netflix stand-up series released in 2018.
The series combined four separate live shows into a connected narrative, something that was relatively unusual in stand-up comedy at the time.
Outside stand-up, Acaster is perhaps best known today for co-hosting the hugely successful Off Menu podcast alongside fellow comedian Ed Gamble.
The podcast has featured hundreds of guests, including comedians, actors, musicians and chefs.
Although primarily a stand-up, Acaster became familiar to British TV audiences through appearances on panel shows, including Taskmaster, Would I Lie to You?, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and co-hosting Hypothetical with Josh Widdicombe from 2019 to 2022.
