A NATIONAL treasure is set to bring his comedy show to a small East Yorkshire venue next month.

Alan Carr is set to perform a work-in-progress comedy show at Pocklington Arts Centre.

The award-winning comedian will appear next Sunday (October 11), offering fans a rare chance to see him test new material.

Kelly Munro-Fawcett, venue director, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Alan Carr to Pocklington Arts Centre. He’s such a well-loved comedian, and it’s fantastic to have him performing here in Pocklington.

"It’s a brilliant opportunity for audiences to see him up close as he tries out his new material, and we’re really looking forward to what promises to be a very special evening of comedy."

Alan is best known for hosting the popular chat show Chatty Man, as well as winning popular BBC reality show Celebrity Traitors last year.
