CARE homes have been nationally recognised for their dedication to end-of-life care.
The Hollies in Hessle and Hampden House in Harrogate, both managed by the not-for-profit HICA Group, have received the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award for the first time.
The award recognises care providers who deliver high-quality, personalised, and coordinated end-of-life care.
Heather Joy, director of operations at HICA Group, said: "We are delighted to see The Hollies and Hampden House achieve GSF accreditation for the first time.
"Providing high-quality end-of-life care is extremely important to us.
"This recognition reflects the care, compassion and professionalism our teams show every day, and we are very proud of everyone involved."

The GSF accreditation follows a programme of training and assessment, focusing on how well the framework is put into practice across all areas of care.
This includes planning, communication with residents and families, teamwork, and support during the final days of life.
The Wolds Care Centre in Louth, also operated by HICA Group, has been re-accredited for the third consecutive time.
GSF accreditation is valid for three years before re-application is required.
The Quality Hallmark Award is recognised by the Care Quality Commission as a marker of quality care.
