One of County Durham's biggest weekly car boot sales has been cancelled today, organisers have confirmed.
Nobles Promotions Ltd announced on social media that Sunday's Chester-le-Street car boot sale will not go ahead.
In a brief update posted on Facebook, organisers said: "Chester Le Street is cancelled today (September 27).
"See you all next week."
The car boot sale is held on Beamish Road, opposite Batley's Cash and Carry on the A693, and regularly attracts large numbers of buyers and sellers from across the North East.
The event is scheduled to run every Sunday, with sellers arriving from 11am and public admission opening from the same time.
Nobles Promotions, which operates markets and car boot sales across the North East and North Wales, has more than 30 years of experience running outdoor events and attracts hundreds of sellers and thousands of visitors each week.
The company has not given a reason for today's cancellation but confirmed the popular market is expected to return next weekend.

“The car boot sale is of substantial social and economic importance to Seaham and the wider area,” a planning statement read.
“On a typical Sunday, around 230 sellers and over 4,500 buyers attend, generating significant spend that benefits local traders, catering outlets and the visitor economy.
“It is more than a market: it is a valued community meeting place, supporting social interaction, affordable opportunities for families and the re-use and recycling of goods.”
