A County Durham charity has launched a corporate clothing collection service alongside a business from the region, helping businesses, schools and organisations turn unwanted clothes into vital charity funds.
Bishop Auckland-based Angel Trust has launched the vital service with Husqvarna in Newton Aycliffe, offering free collections across County Durham, allowing organisations to run clothing drives among staff, students, customers and communities.
The Angel Trust will collect clothing, shoes and accessories, including belts and handbags.

Donations only need to be packed in a bag or box ready for collection. For questions about accepted items, contact the office team or speak to the driver on collection day.
The charity's emporium team carefully sorts every donation. Winter coats, jumpers and other items suitable for direct use can go to Angel Trust’s homeless clients during the colder months.
Flasks, backpacks and other essential items can also be put to good use.
John Ballan, collections manager at Angel Trust, said, “Our Charity relies on donations from both the general public and local businesses.

"Clothing collections are an easy way for organisations to get involved in fundraising, ensuring we can continue to support people in need across the county.
"We are excited to be working alongside Husqvarna as we launch this service”
Lexi Christon, HR assistant at Husqvarna, added: “We already work very closely with the Angel Trust on several projects throughout the year, including the Toy Appeal.
