A Harrogate hairdressing business has gone into voluntary liquidation, owing more than £10,000.

Ikonik Hair Ltd of 166 Kings Road, Harrogate, was incorporated in April 2020 and entered voluntary liquidation on September 9.

Companies House lists Kate Borgen as sole director.

Leeds-based Clough Corporate Solutions were appointed liquidator.

A financial report by the liquidators known as a statement of affairs says the business had an estimated £5,706 available for distribution to creditors.

There were no preferential creditors – those who are paid first.

But there was a secondary preferential creditor – those who are paid next – which was HMRC owed £13,164.

This left a deficit of £7,458.

In addition, there were unsecured claims – those who are paid last – of £3,009.

This consisted of HMRC owed a further £3,661 and an accountant owed £348.

This gave a total deficit of £10,467 outstanding.

With the business having issued and called up capital of £1, this gave an overall deficit of £10,468 owed.
