Beatles biopic speculation has intensified in Saltaire after a fleet of vintage vehicles arrived in the village and filming got under way behind road closures this weekend.
Residents have been trying to work out the truth behind the magical mystery shoot after a number of classic cars appeared on Victoria Road, near the historic mill complex.
One vehicle in particular has fuelled rumours that the production could be linked to the Fab Four.
A 1960s Ford van bearing the livery "West Riding Sound Co." has been seen parked in the area, with a sign in the window describing it as a "Film Unit Vehicle".

Adding to the intrigue, a notice displayed in a nearby bakery informed customers the shop would be closed on September 25 and September 27 due to "filming taking place in the area".
Why The Beatles are linked to Saltaire
The sighting has prompted further speculation that the production could be linked to director Sam Mendes' highly anticipated series of Beatles films.
The rumours have gained traction because of Saltaire's own connection to The Beatles.

On June 30, 1968, Sir Paul McCartney visited the village to record an instrumental track called Thingumybob, which he wrote for the Black Dyke Mills Brass Band.
Accompanied by his Old English Sheepdog, Martha, McCartney spent part of the day recording in Victoria Hall and on the streets of Saltaire.
The tune was written as the theme for a television sitcom and went on to become one of the better-known examples of a Beatles song written for another artist rather than being released by the band itself.
No confirmation yet
Speculation surrounding the current filming centres on Mendes' ambitious Beatles project, which will tell the story of the Fab Four across four interconnected films.

The cast includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.
However, despite widespread rumours, there has been no official confirmation that the filming activity in Saltaire is connected to The Beatles or any Beatles-related production.
The companies involved have not publicly announced what is being filmed, and it remains possible that the road closures and film crews are connected to an entirely different television or film project.
Whether it's connected to The Beatles or not, one thing is clear: the speculation is getting better all the time.
