A man whose quick-thinking actions helped stop a fire from spreading before firefighters arrived has been honoured by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Brian Wright received a District Commander's Commendation in recognition of his actions during an incident in Eccleshill in July.
Mr Wright was carrying out work for Incommunities Housing Association when he spotted smoke billowing from a property.
Using a pressure washer on his work vehicle, he was able to prevent the blaze from spreading until firefighters reached the scene.
'Brilliant example of community spirit'
Fire officials said his intervention helped limit the spread of the fire, protecting a nearby garage and its contents and potentially preventing a more serious incident.
He was nominated for the commendation by Shipley Blue Watch, with the award presented by Bradford District Commander Benjy Bush at Shipley Fire Station earlier this month.
In a post on social media, the fire service praised Mr Wright's actions, describing them as a "brilliant example of quick thinking, initiative and community spirit."
A spokesperson added: "Well done, Brian!"
