IRISH rock legends The Saw Doctors are set to perform in Halifax next summer.
The band will take to the stage at The Piece Hall on Saturday, June 12, as part of the Live at The Piece Hall series, marking 40 years in the music industry.
Nicky Chance-Thompson, CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said: "This is a very welcome return.
"The Courtyard was absolutely alive, and fizzing with that distinctive Celtic energy the last time we hosted The Saw Doctors.
"The beauty of our unique heritage site combined with the band’s warmth and authenticity created a real sense of intimacy even among a crowd of 6,000.
"There was such a joyful atmosphere, that the whole audience felt like good friends.
"A recipe for musical magic and I know we’re in for another incredibly special show."
The Saw Doctors, known for their infectious blend of rock and Celtic influences, last played a sold-out show at the venue in 2025.
Formed in Tuam, County Galway, the band has since played everywhere from humble Irish ballrooms to the Royal Albert Hall and Central Park in New York.
Their 1990 single I Useta Lover became the biggest-selling Irish single of all time, topping the charts for nine weeks.
The band’s debut album, If This Is Rock ’n’ Roll, I Want My Old Job Back, has sold half a million copies worldwide.
Led by the songwriting duo of Davy Carton and Leo Moran, the current eight-piece line-up features long-time members and returning bassist Pearse Doherty.
Special guests BIIRD will join them on the night.
The Halifax show is part of the 2027 Live at The Piece Hall series.
Other headliners announced so far include Kaiser Chiefs, Alfie Boe, Ronan Keating, Jack Savoretti, and James Morrison.
Simply Red will also perform across three nights.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, October 2, via ticketmaster.co.uk.
