A serving Durham Police officer and veteran has appeared in court accused of child sex offences.
Haydyn Brunsdon, a police constable, was in the dock at Teesside Magistrates Court this morning.
Durham Police previously said he had been charged with two counts of sexual communication with a child, but those charges were revised in court to two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child.
The 31-year-old who has served on the force for less than two years, wore a light grey T-shirt as he spoke only to confirm his name and details.
Prosecuting, Paul Doney told the hearing the alleged offences took place between June and September of this year.
