A teenage girl who has been missing for almost a week is believed to have travelled to and from Durham.
Lexi, 14, was reported missing from the Leam Lane Estate in Gateshead on Monday, September 21.
Northumbria Police said initial enquiries suggested she had travelled to the Durham area, but it is now believed she returned to the Elswick area of Newcastle at around 8pm on Friday.
She has contacted family members by phone a few times since she was reported missing, but has not yet returned home.
Lexi is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with long dark brown hair.
She has links to Gateshead and is known to visit Newcastle city centre and the Wallsend area of North Tyneside.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Officers and her family are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare."
