WETWANG and four other locations in Yorkshire been named among the UK’s rudest place names.
The five Yorkshire locations appear in a new list compiled by Asda Money, which includes 35 of the rudest place names in Britain.
Wetwang, a village in East Yorkshire, appears alongside Penistone in South Yorkshire, Slack Bottom in West Yorkshire, Butt Hill Road, South Yorkshire, and Letsby Avenue, South Yorkshire.

The full list, based on a new survey, features towns, streets, and villages that have raised smiles and prompted pit stops from travellers across the country.
Despite the positive reactions and laughs, not everyone finds the names funny, with some residents say the attention can be disruptive.
Jeremy Owenson, mayor of Upton upon Severn in Worcestershire and deputy leader of Malvern Hills District Council, said Minge Lane in his town is a regular target for sign thefts.
Mr Owenson said: "From a district council perspective, we regularly had the street name stolen. The new names have been concreted in to make sure they can't be taken.
"It is something that is regularly photographed by people. I know people who have lived and still live on Minge Lane and they are proud of it.
"It is derived from an old Anglo-Saxon word and it is something people are proud of. Everyone gives a wry smile, but they are certainly proud of it."
Other names on the list include Butthole Lane in Shepshed, Leicestershire, which also has historical roots; Peter Grainger, a resident of Butthole Lane for 46 years, explained the origin of the name.
Mr Grainger said: "The reason why it is called Butthole Lane goes back to 1066, there was a royal decree that you had to practice shooting arrows, and you shoot arrows into a hollow, which is a hole.
"They are called butts. There was a hollow, which is gone now because they built houses, but that is why it is called Butthole Lane."
The survey found that 53 per cent of Britons believe the UK has some of the funniest road and village names in the world, though not everyone finds them harmless.
Cheeky road names have distracted two-thirds (65 per cent) of drivers, while 60 per cent admitted to missing a turn or exit because they were laughing.
One in three respondents said they nearly had an accident due to a funny place name.
Asda Car Insurance visited some of Britain’s most distracting roads this month, temporarily putting green velvet "modesty" curtains over the signs to help keep drivers focused.
