A travel agency with offices across the Bradford district has opened a new branch in Ilkley.

Olive Lounge Travel’s new office at 9B Leeds Road officially opened on September 1, with an opening day celebration planned for October 2.

Customers are invited to meet the team at the event and learn about the services available from the independent agency.

Retail operations manager Aimi Donohue and travel consultant Darcey Milsted are working at the Ilkley branch.

They arrange package holidays, flights, private transfers, accommodation, car hire and travel by air, rail, road or sea.

The agency also organises tailor-made trips and holidays through major travel brands.

Olive Lounge Travel was established in 2015 by directors Gillian Polyhos and Elfie Higson.

It began in a home office in Silsden before moving to its first dedicated premises in Cross Hills.

A second branch followed in Barrowford, with branches opening in Bingley in 2024 and Skipton in November 2025.

The Barrowford branch closed during the pandemic as travel ground to a halt, but Cross Hills stayed open.

As travel demand returned, the agency opened more branches and moved into Ilkley.

The directors had long wanted an Ilkley base and chose the Leeds Road premises after searching for a suitable site.

The agency said its independent status gives staff access to tour operators and suppliers, backed by the company’s experience.

The company employs 14 people, with three more working from home.

The company said its focus on personal service has brought repeat business and loyal customers.

Ms Donohue said: "The personal service and reassurance offered by the team are central to the business’ success."

Together, the team has more than 100 years of professional travel experience.

The agency was named Yorkshire’s Top Agency 2025 at the TTG UK Top 50 Awards in Manchester.

The awards recognise travel agencies across the UK, with Olive Lounge Travel among the Top 50.

The opening day on October 2 will take place at the Leeds Road branch.

Customers can meet staff, ask questions and discuss holidays to suit their budgets and travel needs.

The event will show how the agency arranges holidays, transport and accommodation through its operators and suppliers.

The Ilkley office brings those services closer to local residents, while the agency continues to operate from offices across the district and wider region.
