York Theatre Royal reveals cast for first-ever Snow White pantomime

York Theatre Royal has revealed the cast for its Christmas pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Taking to the stage in the title role is Marcavia McCarthy, known for her performances in Evolution Productions’ Cinderella and other theatre credits including Luna Loves Library Day the Musical and Sleeping Beauty: The Pantomime.

This marks the first time York Theatre Royal has staged Snow White, and it will run from December 4, 2026, to January 3, 2027.

Juliet Forster, creative director at York Theatre Royal, said: "We are so delighted to have such a brilliant cast lined up for the show.

"It is the first time Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been performed on our stage, and audiences can expect something really special.

"I can't wait to get started on rehearsals and see this fabulous show come to life with this amazing team."

The show will also feature CBBC and CBeebies star Richard David-Caine, alongside West End performer Jenny Gayner.

Returning audience favourites Robin Simpson, Tommy Carmichael, and Christian Mortimer are also part of the cast.

The pantomime is written by Paul Hendy, directed by Juliet Forster, and co-produced with Evolution Productions.
