Firefighters tackled a large field blaze near York last night (Wednesday).
They were called to Low Moor Lane, Hessay at5.02pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Acomb crew responded to reports of a fire in a stubble field.

“On arrival the crew confirmed the fire was 100m by 300m and requested support from a further two appliances and an Argocat.
“The Argocat was from Settle and the other two appliances were Huntington and Harrogate. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
