Anyone that lives outside of the village is most likely to pronounce it exactly how it is written.
You will hear a lot of people saying apple-tree-wick.
However, if you really want to impress the locals while in the village, you should pronounce it as ap-trik.

When it came to Appletreewick, he said: “This is a tricky one in the Dales.
“You think you know how this is going to go, but it’s not what you think.”
Many people took to the comments on the post to share their thoughts on the strange village.
One person said: “The appletreewick is surely wrong.”
One person responded by saying: “As a local, it’s deffo App-trick.”
A few other people disagreed and said: “I went there a lot as a kid and we always called it apple-tree-wick.”
Another person agreed and said: “So did we!”
It seems there is still some debate around how to pronounce the village’s name.

Appletreewick is a small village with “picturesque houses”, with some of them dating back to the 12th century.
The village is likely to be a stop on a larger tour of the Yorkshire Dales.
There is a campsite close to Appletreewick that might be worth booking for those wanting to go hiking in the area.
The New Inn is a family-owned pub in the village and can be found close to the River Wharfe.
The pub serves homecooked meals on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and offers sandwiches, snacks, and soups at other times during the week.
Aside from the one pub, the village has a village hall and a small church.
