Beverley Westwood is set to host a variety of cycling-based activities for families as part of a multi-stage UK race.
The event forms part of the 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain, which arrives in the East Riding on Friday, September 4, with an 181.3km stage starting from East Park in Hull and finishing in Beverley.
The route takes riders through Withernsea, Hornsea, and Skipsea before reaching Beverley, where cyclists will complete a challenging 16km circuit and uphill finish at the racecourse.
Anne Handley, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "We’re delighted that Beverley Westwood will host the Tour Village as part of the Tour of Britain, giving residents and visitors the chance to experience the excitement of one of the country's biggest sporting events.
"We encourage everyone to get involved and discover the range of family-friendly activities on offer on the day.
"It promises to be a wonderful day for the town and a great opportunity to showcase the East Riding to a national audience."
The Tour Village will offer a range of activities for all ages, including a live freestyle mountain bike show, BMX stunts, and aerial displays.
Families can take part in cycle try-out sessions featuring a variety of bikes and adapted cycles, as well as a supervised skills track for children.
Other attractions include the Dirt Factory pump track course and a freestyle airbag landing, offering a safe and fun environment to develop cycling confidence and technique.
