There’s a cordon in place on a York street as firefighters tackle a fire this afternoon (Wednesday).
A number of crews are at the incident at Crossfield Crescent, Fulford.
It was first reported at about midday.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Due to reports that cylinders are involved, a safety cordon has been established and a number of nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution.
“Crews are expected to remain at the scene for some time. Please avoid the area.”
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are currently supporting our colleagues from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in response to this incident in Fulford.
“Please follow their advice and avoid the area where possible.”
