YORKSHIRE has been crowned home to Britain’s best beer gardens.
Two pubs in the region have topped a national ranking of the UK’s best outdoor drinking spots.
The Myrtle Tavern in Leeds claimed first place in the list compiled by Crown Pavilions, with Kirkstall Bridge Inn, Leeds, following closely in second.
Both venues scored over 94 out of 100, earning full marks for garden quality, usability and independent recognition.
Luke Dejahang, co-founder of Crown Pavilions, said: "The best beer gardens are no longer simply somewhere to sit when the tables inside are full.
"They’re designed as destinations.
"That’s exactly the way we’re seeing homeowners approach their gardens too, creating outdoor spaces with a purpose, rather than simply putting furniture on a patio."
The rankings were based on data from the 2026 Great British Pub Awards Best Pub Garden finalists and considered public reviews, reputation, and garden features.
The Myrtle Tavern received a Google rating of 4.5 and a Tripadvisor score of 4.8, while Kirkstall Bridge Inn was rated 4.6 on Google.
Other top contenders included The Tartan Fox in Cornwall and The Bulls Head in Cheshire, both of which tied for third place.
The Myrtle Tavern and Kirkstall Bridge Inn were the only Yorkshire pubs to make the top 10.
