A LOTTO ticket bought in West Yorkshire has turned a player into a millionaire.
The lucky player, from Wakefield, won £1 million in the August 5 draw after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in Round 2.
After appeals to find the winner, the individual has now come forward to claim the life-changing prize.
Lynn Devlin, Winner's Experience Lead at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: "We're delighted that both of these mystery winners (one other person from Aberdeen) have now come forward to claim their £1 million prizes.
"It must be an extraordinary feeling to go from not knowing you've won to discovering you're a millionaire and starting what promises to be a life-changing journey."
As with all major prizes, both claims will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules and Terms and Conditions are adhered to, and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected.
Subject to validation, the prizes will then be paid at appointments with Allwyn Winners' Advisers.
Once validated and paid, the ticket-holders will decide whether or not they wish to go public and share their news.
There will be no information released about whether the winners are individuals or syndicates, or where the tickets were purchased, unless the winners choose to go public.
