A man in his 50s has been arrested and one person taken to hospital after an early morning crash in County Durham.
Police and paramedics were called to the crash on the A690 Commercial Street in Willington, at 7.35am this morning (Wednesday, August 26).
The incident involved a car and a pick-up truck.
The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He remains in police custody.
One person was taken to University Hospital of North Durham for further treatment, although no one is believed to have been seriously injured.
The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered, but it has since reopened.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on the A690 in Willington, Crook on Wednesday, August 26 at 7.41am.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew to the incident. One patient was treated and discharged on scene and one patient was taken to University Hospital of North Durham for further treatment.”

A spokesperson from Durham Police added: “Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Commercial Street, in Willington, shortly after 7.35am this morning (Wednesday, August 26).
“The incident involved a car and a pick-up truck.
“No-one is believed to have been seriously injured.
“The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He was taken into police custody where he remains.”
