Firefighters have told residents to "avoid the area" after a fleet of fire engines were called to an early morning blaze.
Emergency crews, including six fire engines, were called to a property fire at 5.23am this morning (August 26) at Birchington Avenue in Grangetown.
The road remains closed and drivers are being advised to find alternative routes while emergency services deal with the house fire.
The incident remains ongoing and the Incident Command Unit are currently at the scene.
A spokesperson from Cleveland Fire and Rescue Service said: “Cleveland Fire Brigade was called at 5.23am this morning (August 26) to an incident on Birchington Avenue, Grangetown.
“Crews are currently dealing with the incident, with six fire engines and the Incident Command Unit at the scene.

“Road closures are in place in the surrounding area, and we are asking members of the public to avoid the area where possible to allow emergency services to work safely.
“The incident remains ongoing, and further updates will be provided when available.”
The cause for the fire has not yet been disclosed.
