A popular annual ladies day is set to return to a County Durham racecourse, bringing together horse racing, fashion and live entertainment while raising money for a children's charity.
Sedgefield Racecourse will host its Bodhi Solutions Ladies Day on Friday, August 28, promising a full afternoon of racing, style and entertainment.
This year’s event will also support Remembering Rebecca, a Teesside charity that provides financial assistance to families of children diagnosed with lissencephaly, a rare brain disorder.

Rebecca Sands, in whose memory the charity was founded, was diagnosed with the condition at just 10 weeks old and died at 21 months.
The charity will be collecting donations at the racecourse on Ladies Day.
Gates will open at 2.55pm, with the first of seven jump races starting at 4.25pm and the last at 7.50pm.
The event marks the start of the bank holiday weekend.

Beyond racing, the day will feature food and drink options, live music and entertainment.
Performers will include Beat Boutique, Lady V Sax, Elena Larkin and Logan Amos.
One of the day’s highlights will be the Style Awards, with judges on the lookout for the most creative and fashionable outfits.
The winner will receive a £500 cash prize.

Additional prizes include an overnight stay at Redworth Hall Hotel & Spa, complete with dinner, bed and breakfast, as well as a spa treatment.
Other rewards include a £100 voucher for Storeys Hair & Beauty Salon, a £100 voucher for Luma Beauty & Aesthetics, and a £230 voucher for Grace and Dotty clothing.

A new category, Best Hat, will also be introduced this year, with the winner receiving a £150 voucher for Feathers & Finery Millinery Design.
Racegoers are encouraged to "dress to impress" and visit the flower wall to enter the competition.
