A man who was caught drinking alcohol while "heavily intoxicated" at Durham Bus Station has been fined for breaching a criminal behaviour order.
Jonathan Armstrong, 32, of no fixed abode but previously of Holme House Road, Stockton, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on August 20.
Police officers spotted Armstrong at 8.10am on August 19 at North Road, Durham Bus Station, drinking alcohol in a public area while shown to be heavily intoxicated.

Armstrong was subject to a criminal behaviour order made by Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on June 22, which barred him from drinking alcohol in a public place without reasonable excuse.
Armstrong indicated a guilty plea and was fined £200.
No costs were ordered by the court in this case. The court took Armstrong’s guilty plea into account when imposing the fine.
