POLICE are investigating a fire which sparked close to woodland in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to an abandoned motorcycle which was on fire in Acomb around 7.15pm yesterday (Tuesday, August 25).
A service spokesperson said multiple calls had been received about the incident.
The spokesperson added: "Crews extinguished using two backpack sprayers.
"The police were informed and attended.
"The incident was left with the police."
