The company behind the much-loved Caramba Brazilian Steakhouse restaurants in York and Selby has gone into liquidation.
But the Selby restaurant has been saved, with the business now owned by a different company.
The former business was owned AD Restaurants Ltd, which formerly operated from the Selby restaurant at 73 Brook Street.
However, York-based Mike Jenkins and Dave Broadbent of BTG were appointed joint liquidators of AD Restaurants Ltd on July 30.

The move followed the business experiencing financial difficulties, previously closing the York restaurant at Clifton Moor Retail Park in recent months.

BTG says the successful transfer of AD Restaurants Ltd to JA Restaurants Ltd has safeguarded the jobs of its three employees.
In addition, the new owner is now seeking suitable premises from which to continue trading the business.
Mike Jenkins, joint liquidator and partner at BTG, said: “The director took the difficult decision to place AD Restaurants into liquidation after the company experienced financial difficulties.
“The sale of the Selby restaurant’s assets to a new company, which is now exploring options for a future trade at new premises, will enable that part of the business to continue trading, saving three jobs.”

All meat succulent and falling apart. Meal topped off with birthday cake for my partner when they found it was his birthday …… to take away as couldn’t eat another morsel!! Brilliant as has always been.”
