A major international medical conference is set to bring more than £600,000 to the Yorkshire spa town.
Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) has secured the 2027 contract to host the 14th Meeting of the International Society of Systemic Autoinflammatory Diseases (ISSAID), following an agreement with global marketing and engagement agency MCI.
The conference, which runs from April 7 to 10, is expected to deliver significant economic benefits to Harrogate and the wider region.
Professor Helen Lachmann, ISSAID 2027 co-chair, said: "We are particularly delighted to host ISSAID’s 14th Bi-Annual Meeting at Harrogate Convention Centre, in a town known for its heritage of medicine, wellbeing, and hospitality, which provides the perfect setting for sharing knowledge and strengthening collaborations."
The conference is expected to attract hundreds of international delegates, bringing midweek business to hotels, restaurants, and shops across the town.

ISSAID meetings bring together clinicians, researchers, and allied professionals focused on advancing the understanding and care of autoinflammatory diseases.
