Fire crews were called out to two incidents in Scarborough on Monday.
The first call came at 8.12pm, when the Pickering crew was mobilised to a reported fire in the open on Salt Pans Road, Scarborough, which turned out to be a false alarm.
At 9.02pm, the ambulance service requested assistance from the Pickering crew on Filey Road, Scarborough, to help extricate a casualty from a property.
The crews used a scoop stretcher to assist the casualty into the road ambulance, leaving them in the care of the paramedics on the scene.
