A cathedral is inviting past choir members to return for a special anniversary Evensong.
Ripon Cathedral is calling on former choir members to take part in an Alumni Reunion Evensong on Saturday, October 10, 2026, to mark the 30th anniversary of its Girls’ Choir.
The service will offer alumni the chance to sing alongside the current cathedral choir, which has featured in recent broadcasts on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Radio 3.
Dr Ronny Krippner, director of music at Ripon Cathedral, said: "This promises to be a memorable occasion, not only for returning alumni but for everyone joining us for this beautiful service of choral evensong, sung by a choir of more than 100 voices.
"For the alumni it is also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with former choir friends."
The day will begin with registration at 2pm, followed by a rehearsal at 2.30pm, and the evensong service will start at 5.30pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring family and friends and can choose to either sing or join the congregation.
Archive displays will celebrate three decades of the Girls’ Choir and the cathedral’s musical history.
Refreshments and an alumni dinner will follow the service.
