Five men have appeared before York Crown Court charged in connection with an alleged pub fight in the city centre.
Daniel Hall, 37, of Fenwick Road, off Bishopthorpe Road, York; Gary Ambler, 48, of Tedder Road, Acomb; Christopher Kay, 35, of North Moor Road, Huntington; Garrison Donne, 35, of Wheatley Avenue, Normanton near Wakefield; and Arron Morrison, 35, of Semilong Road, Northampton, all denied a charge of affray.
They and a sixth man, Stuart Ambler, 50, of Brentwood Crescent, Badger Hill, York, whose attendance had been excused, were all charged following an incident at The Nags Head in Micklegate, York, on September 27, 2024.
The Recorder of York, Judge Sean Morris, ordered that their trial be heard on April 5 at York Crown Court and that all six men return to the same court on November 4 for a case management hearing.
He released the five who attended on bail and extended the bail of the defendant who did not attend.
