Full police statement

West Yorkshire Police said: "If you and your car are central to ongoing anti-social behaviour, don't be surprised if it gets seized.

"S.59 Police Reform Act provides us the power to do just that, without a warning.

"That's what happened to the driver here in Thorpe Edge after some community complaints.

"Driver also reported to Bradford Council for breaching the vehicular nuisance Public Space Protection Order."

What is a Public Space Protection Order?

According to Safer Bradford, Public Space Protection Orders ensure public spaces can be enjoyed free from anti-social behaviour.

Councils can use PSPOs to prohibit specified activities, and/or require certain things to be done by people engaged in particular activities, within a defined public area.
