Fans of Our Yorkshire Farm and its follow-up Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids have become accustomed to seeing some of the most spectacular scenery the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.
Amanda Owen, better known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, and her family have spent years giving viewers an insight into life at remote Ravenseat Farm, from lambing and harsh winter weather to the everyday challenges of raising a large family in the countryside.
And the landscape will once again provide the backdrop when Our Farm Next Door returns for a fourth series in October 2026.

But where exactly is Ravenseat Farm, and just how remote is the place made famous by Amanda, Clive and their nine children?
Where is Ravenseat Farm?
Ravenseat Farm is in Upper Swaledale in North Yorkshire, at the head of Whitsundale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The remote hill farm covers around 2,000 acres of upland countryside and is predominantly used for sheep farming.
Its exposed position has played a major part in both Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door, with the family regularly shown working through snow, rain and difficult conditions.
Ravenseat lies around three-and-a-half miles west of Keld and is reached by a single-track moorland road branching from the B6270 between Keld and Kirkby Stephen.
That sense of isolation is genuine, but Ravenseat is also close to one of the country's best-known long-distance walking routes.
The Coast to Coast Path, which runs for around 190 miles between St Bees in Cumbria and Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire, passes through the area around Ravenseat before continuing towards Keld.
Where are the nearest villages?
The closest settlement to Ravenseat is Keld, a small village at the head of Swaledale.
Keld is a familiar stopping point for walkers, with both the Coast to Coast Path and Pennine Way passing through the surrounding countryside.
The village is surrounded by waterfalls, old mining remains and walking routes, while the ruins of Crackpot Hall, an abandoned 18th-century farmhouse, can be found about a mile to the east.
Further down Swaledale is Muker, another traditional Dales village surrounded by stone barns and renowned wildflower meadows.
The journey between the settlements takes visitors through the landscape which has become instantly recognisable to viewers of the Owen family's television programmes.
Can you visit Ravenseat Farm?
Ravenseat became particularly well known as a stopping point for walkers following the success of Our Yorkshire Farm, with visitors previously able to call at the farm for refreshments.
However, anyone exploring Upper Swaledale should remember that Ravenseat is first and foremost a working family farm rather than a television attraction.

There is still plenty for fans of the programmes to see without visiting the farm itself, with public walking routes through the surrounding Yorkshire Dales offering views of the same rugged landscape seen on screen.
Visitors heading into Upper Swaledale should also plan ahead. Roads become increasingly narrow and remote, while shops, fuel stations and other facilities are limited compared with larger towns outside the dale.
Where is Our Farm Next Door filmed?
While Ravenseat remains central to the family's story, Our Farm Next Door focuses on another property nearby.
The programme follows Amanda, Clive and their children as they restore a centuries-old derelict farmhouse known locally as Anty John's.
The family bought the property with the aim of breathing new life into it and creating a home for the future.
Work has involved tackling the roof, walls and other structural elements while dealing with the challenges of restoring an old property in an exposed and isolated part of the Yorkshire Dales.
The programme was commissioned for another two series by Channel 4, comprising ten hour-long episodes shown as two runs of five.
When is Our Farm Next Door returning?
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids is due to return for its fourth series in October 2026, although an exact broadcast date and time have yet to be announced.
The next episodes will continue following the restoration of Anty John's as the project moves increasingly inside the farmhouse.
After years of structural work, attention will turn to some of the major jobs required to make the property habitable, including plumbing, running water and decisions about its rooms and interiors.
Viewers will also see more of everyday life at Ravenseat and Amanda's efforts to uncover the history of Anty John's and the generations who lived there before the Owen family began its transformation.
Channel 4 said when commissioning the additional programmes that the two new five-part series would continue the family's journey as they turn the derelict property into a modern home.
For viewers, it means another opportunity to return to the remote corner of North Yorkshire which first became familiar through Our Yorkshire Farm – and which remains as important to the programmes as the Owen family themselves.
