Drivers in Darlington face 13 separate sets of roadworks affecting routes across the town on Tuesday.

A68 Woodland Road

Temporary traffic signals are in place on A68 Woodland Road in both directions between Hollyhurst Road and Bracken Road because of telecoms work.

The work began on August 18 at 10.30am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until September 15 at 11.59pm.

Beechwood Avenue

Restrictions are in place on Beechwood Avenue in both directions between B6280 Coniscliffe Road and Southend Avenue for telecoms work.

The work began on August 17 at 8am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 28 at 4pm.

A68 Bondgate

Temporary traffic signals are in place on A68 Bondgate in both directions at Four Riggs while emergency repairs and gas main work are carried out.

Work began on August 19 at 7.16am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 27 at 11pm.

A167

A lane is closed on the A167 in both directions between B6444 St Andrews Way and A1(M) J59 at Aycliffe because of gas main work.

The closure began on August 11 at 8am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until September 1 at 4pm.

Neasham Road

Temporary traffic signals are in place on Neasham Road in both directions at Burma Road because of construction work.

Work began on August 10 at 8.30am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 30 at 11pm.

Auckland Avenue

Auckland Avenue is down to one lane in both directions between Brinkburn Road and Auckland Oval because of construction work.

The arrangement began on July 1 at 7.20am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until September 22 at 11pm.

Haughton Road

Temporary traffic signals are in place on Haughton Road in both directions between Haughton Green and Mcmullen Road because of electricity work.

The work began on August 5 at 1pm, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 27 at 11pm.

Salters Lane South

Temporary traffic signals are in place on Salters Lane South in both directions between Beadnell Close and Haughton Road for electricity work.

The work began on July 20 at 7.45am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 27 at 11pm.

St Alban’s Green

St Alban’s Green is down to one lane in both directions at Winchester Way because of electricity work.

The arrangement began on July 17 at 2pm, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until September 9 at 11pm.

Edinburgh Drive

Temporary traffic signals are in place on Edinburgh Drive in both directions between A67 Coniscliffe Road and Teesdale Avenue because of gas main work.

Drivers are warned to expect delays. The work began on July 13 at 7am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until September 9 at 4pm.

Ely Close

Ely Close is down to one lane in both directions at Exeter Drive because of electricity work.

The arrangement began on July 6 at 10.45am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 27 at 11pm.

A67 Coniscliffe Road

Temporary traffic signals are in place on A67 Coniscliffe Road in both directions between Coniscliffe Mews and Edinburgh Drive because of gas main work.

The work began on June 29 at 7am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until August 26 at 4pm.

Temporary traffic signals are in place on Faverdale in both directions after A68 West Auckland Road because of construction work.

The work began on March 9 at 8am, and the restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until September 6 at 11pm.

The listed works vary in type, with traffic signals, lane closures and give-and-take arrangements being used across the affected routes.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time where delays are expected, particularly on Edinburgh Drive, where the roadworks information specifically warns of delays.
