POLICE are appealing for the victim of an "assault" in York city centre to come forward after a fire extinguisher was "discharged" at a member of the public.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said it happened "at McDonalds in Blake Street" around 8.10pm on Monday, August 17 and involved "a group of young people."
A force spokesperson said: "During the incident, one of the young people discharged a fire extinguisher directly at the victim.
"We are keen to speak to the victim to establish the full circumstances and support our investigation.
"If you are the victim, or if you witnessed the incident and have information that could assist our enquiries, please get in touch."
