A new store on York’s Coney Street has announced its opening date – with the first customers receiving a free goodie bag of treats.
We reported earlier this year that the global brand Miniso was planning to open a store at number 40 Coney Street.
The Chinese company specialises in household and consumer goods including cosmetics, stationery, toys, and kitchenware.
Now, it’s been revealed that Miniso will open its York store this Friday, 28 August at 12pm.
And, the first 200 customers who spend £5 or more instore on opening day will receive a free goody bag packed with treats and surprises worth £25.
There will also be a PenPen mascot appearance and balloon modelling.
Found next to Sports Direct, 40 Coney Street was last home to the Luxe Company, before it closed suddenly a year ago.
Miniso is know for its cute products – from Hello Kitty merch, to Disney treasures, plushies, lifestyle items, snacks, plus new collabs with franchises such as Star Wars.
The brand opened its first store in Guangzhou, China in 2013, near its factory. Its first store in the UK, in Ealing, London, opened six years later. The brand now has more than 8,000 shops trading in 110 countries around the world.
Miniso is described on its website as ‘a design-led lifestyle store for all the family, offering fun high-quality homeware, tech, accessories, toys and so much more.’
