A Bradford ward councillor was arrested following an incident at a pub.
West Yorkshire Police arrested a man, aged 57, and a 26-year-old woman after reports of "fighting involving several men and women" at around 10.30pm on Saturday night.
Officers attended the scene at which a woman in her 40s had sustained facial injuries.
The Telegraph & Argus understands police were at The Woodman Inn on Manchester Road.
Man and woman arrested
Reform says its Wibsey and Odsal Ward Councillor Jason Mark Townend was arrested.
The force said the arrest was on suspicion of affray and the woman was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Both have been released on police bail pending continuing investigations, police added.
Who is Councillor Townend?
Councillor Townend was one of three Reform UK councillors successful in the ward at the May local elections.
He received the third most votes (1,525) - which equated to 13 per cent.
At the elections, Reform won enough seats to become the largest party on Bradford Council.

A Reform UK Bradford spokesperson said: “We are aware that Councillor Townend was arrested on Saturday night in Wibsey.
"He was subsequently released without charges."
West Yorkshire Police has launched an appeal asking anyone who saw or has information about the incident to contact them.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called to a pub on Manchester Road, Bradford at about 10.30pm on Saturday 22 August to a report of ongoing fighting involving several men and women.
"Officers attended the scene at which a woman in her 40s had sustained facial injuries.
"Following enquiries, a man, aged 57, was arrested on suspicion of affray and a woman, aged 26, was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
"Both have been released on police bail pending continuing investigations.
