Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has said she feels "so free" after reaching 11 years of sobriety.
The actress, who is best known for playing Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap, marked the milestone with an emotional Instagram post on August 19.
Sharing an image of a mug reading "11 years sober today", Ms Riley reflected on her journey and the life she has built since giving up alcohol.
She wrote: "A Day to be incredibly proud- 11 years sober today. To feel so free.
"Honestly, truly, now I've escaped from anything that destroyed being the truest me!!!!
"Each and every day I live life to the fullest-never wasting one minute-and certainly not wasting a second in a fog of fake!!"

'My life is mine'
The 50-year-old actress said sobriety has allowed her to embrace life without relying on alcohol.
She continued: "My life is mine - which frankly is full of love and fun - I've created a life that does not require numbness for survival."
Riley has previously spoken publicly about her struggles with alcohol following the death of her mother, Cath, from cancer, explaining that she used alcohol to cope with grief before eventually deciding to stop drinking.

Landmark year for soap star
The sobriety milestone comes during a memorable year for Riley.
In June, she revealed she had been awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours for services to drama and charity, describing the recognition as her "best 50th birthday present".
The actress, who celebrated her 50th in July, said at the time that she was "humbled" by the honour and paid tribute to the charities she supports following the loss of her mother.
For Riley, the latest milestone appears every bit as significant, with the actress telling followers that after 11 years without alcohol, she finally feels "the truest me".
