A 17-year-old dog has gone missing while on holiday at a forest park.
Louie, who is on medication, disappeared from Cropton Forest Park in Pickering while staying with his owner, Susan, from Sunderland.
A QR code on his collar was scanned in the holiday park car park after he went missing, providing a GPS location, but Louie was nowhere to be found.
Volunteer search teams, including tracker dogs and drone support from Drone Star, have searched the area with no success, though fresh scent was detected around cabin 32.
A message has since been shared on social media groups in the hope of reaching someone who might have information.
The post reads: "This little dog has been missing since 4th August - his QR code was scanned in the car park at Cropton Forest Holiday Park after he had gone missing - Did you scan his code? - his owner needs to know what has happened to him please ring 07516724081 or send a message"
The QR code is managed by dog tracking company Crumb, and the individual who scanned it allowed the owner to access the location, but Louie was not found.
Susan has booked cabin 28 for the following week and will return to the area to continue the search.
