Nile Rodgers & Chic brings down curtain on 2026 Scarborough Open Air Theatre season

The 200th live music artist to headline at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre brought down the curtain on its 2026 season in style.
This summer has seen 175,000 tickets sold for the venue which has staged its biggest ever season of 28 shows.
The final concert was headlined by US soul and disco icons Nile Rodgers & Chic who started their 90-minute seat with party-starter Le Freak before moving into Everybody Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and I Want Your Love.
The Saturday night concert continued with I’m Coming Out, Upside Down, We Are Family, Like A Virgin, Lost in Music, Notorious, Get Lucky and Let’s Dance, before the show finale of Good Times.
Acid jazz outfit The Brand New Heavies took to the stage earlier in the evening belting out favourites including Dream on Dreamer, Midnight at the Oasis and Spend Some Time, while, rising soul singer James Emmanuel opened the show.
