Traffic jams are causing delays for families and others using the A64 through North Yorkshire this morning.
The coastbound carriageway has long queues at Tadcaster with delays of 16 minutes being reported along the town’s bypass. There are also queues in Tadcaster as motorists try to get round the queues.
Once traffic passes York they face two more further delays as they head east.
There are 10 minute delays for traffic on the westbound carriageway approaching the Hopgrove roundabout on the Outer Ring Road and eight-minute delays on traffic heading in the opposite direction on the single carriageway section towards Malton.
