Search the Public Notice Portal Drivers in Leeds are facing a spate of road closures for a variety of improvement works.

From new connections to gas main replacements, several streets across the city will be temporarily shut.

Leeds City Council has issued multiple orders, all under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Bachelor Lane in Horsforth is one of the affected roads.

This closure is to facilitate a new connection and will take place between the junctions of Lister Hill and Long Row.

A diversion will be in place via Long Row, North Broadgate Lane, Church Avenue, and Lister Hill.

The closure, beginning on Tuesday, August 25, is set to last until Tuesday, September 1.

In Holbeck, Meadow Road, specifically the segregated bus road, will be closed on August 24, September 8, and September 22 for a few hours each day for essential works.

A diversion will be available via Meadow Road.

The closure will be in place from midnight until 5am on each day.

Meanwhile, in Burley, Woodside View and Bankfield Grove will be shut for gas mains replacement works.

The closure will take effect on August 26, with an expected completion date of September 10.

A diversion will be available via Burley Road, Kirkstall Hill, Burley Wood Lane, and Bankfield Grove.

Haigh Side Close in Rothwell will also be affected by new electric connection works.

The closure will be in place from September 2 until September 8, with no diversionary route available.

In Wetherby, Bridge Foot will be closed for works related to the Yorkshire Water CSO Enhancement Scheme.

The closure will be in place from September 7 until September 18, with a diversion available via High Street, Victoria Street, and Greenfold Lane.

The Drive in Bardsey will be closed for a new electric connection from September 3 until September 9.

A diversion will be available via The Drive.

Raven Road in Headingley will be closed for gas mains replacement works.

The closure will take effect from September 3 until September 16, with a diversion available via Richmond Avenue, Manor Avenue, and Manor Drive.

Leeds United fixture days will also see Lowfields Road closed from its junction with Elland Road up to the overpass with M621.

The road closure will come into effect an hour before the scheduled kick-off of each match and for one hour after the final whistle of each match.

This will affect the following dates: August 30, September 14 and 19, October 17, November 7 and 28, December 5 and 19, January 2, 6 and 23, February 6 and 20, March 3 and 13, April 10 and 24, May 8 and 23.

On August 30, Meadow Lane will also see some changes for the Leeds United fixture.

This includes the suspension of the cycle lane on the east side of Meadow Lane from Dock Street to Great Wilson Street, and no vehicles will be permitted to use the 'unnamed' access road situated on the east side of Meadow Lane 150m north of Great Wilson Street from 11am to 2pm.

Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained for all closures.
