A serious crash has closed a North Yorkshire road this afternoon (Sunday).
Emergency services are at the scene of the collision on the Great North Road that runs parallel to the A1 betweenLedsham and theSelby Fork interchange.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road is expected to remain closed for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use and alternative route.
