CrossCountry, the rail operator that runs trains through York, has cancelled most of its services today (Sunday, 23 August).
The company says: “As a result of a power cut affecting CrossCountry control centre, train services across almost all routes will be withdrawn until further notice on Sunday 23 August, with the exception of services between Peterborough, Cambridge and Stansted Airport.”
Tickets purchased for travel on CrossCountry services today can be used for travel with other train operators on that route.
Full details are on the CrossCountry travel update page and on the National Rail website.
LNER has adapted its timetable to help.
It says: “f you are travelling with us today, there are a number of services with additional stops to support CrossCountry customers.”
You can find out more about that here.
