A BRADFORD resident says he and all of his neighbours have been left "fed up" by a lift that frequently breaks down in their tower block.
Warehouse operative Colin Doherty, 58, lives on the 14th floor of Evans Towers on Rayhill Grove in the Little Horton area and says one of the building’s lift's is almost always out of service.
Incommunities, which manages the building, said engineers last visited the building on Thursday and both lifts were working.
But Mr Doherty feels the problems have persisted despite regular engineer visits, and that the working lift often skips floors due to a faulty counter.
And quite naturally, living on the 14th floor, this irks Mr Doherty.
The housing provider did admit that earlier this month, the left-hand lift hadn’t been working for a short period, but the other lift was fully operational during that time.

'Everybody is fed up'
Mr Doherty said: "Everybody is fed up. Everybody is always miffed."
He described it as an "ongoing issue," claiming it requires a "major overhaul completely".
Mr Doherty believes the lifts were first installed in 1991.

He told the T&A that the lift that frequently breaks down makes quite the racket when it "judders" and goes "bang, bang, bang".
Now there is another lift on his floor, but he says that too is less than ideal - because it means waiting "ages" for it to come back down to ground, or to his floor 14
He added: "The other lift just misses floors."

What the housing provider had to say
An Incommunities spokesperson said: “We understand how frustrating it is when lifts break down and we encourage customers to report any issues with lifts to us - we respond to all lift call-outs within two hours.
“Our engineers last visited Evan Towers on Thursday (August 20) and both lifts were working.
"Earlier this month, the left-hand lift hadn’t been working for a short period, but the other lift was fully operational during that time.
“All our high-rise lifts, including those at Evans Towers, are serviced every month to make sure they are maintained and working safely.
"They are also independently inspected every six months.”
