A heritage railway is offering a special park and ride service for cycling fans.
Wensleydale Railway will run the service on Saturday, September 5, to take spectators to Leyburn for the finish of Stage 4 of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men’s Cycle Race.
The railway will operate five trains throughout the day between Leeming Bar, Bedale and Leyburn, with the final service departing Leyburn at 6.30pm.
Nick Keegan, marketing and fundraising manager at Wensleydale Railway, said: "If you’re heading to the race – with or without a bike – why not let our trains take the strain.
"Leave the car behind, sit back and enjoy a relaxing scenic train journey with us.
"With five trains to choose from, you have plenty of time to spend the day in and around Leyburn before enjoying the race finish."
Working with the Little White Bus community transport service, they will also offer a free shuttle between Leyburn Station and the marketplace.
Longer trains will run to accommodate more passengers and bikes, with no need for cyclists to dismantle their frames.
Wensleydale Railway volunteers will also host a promotional stall in the marketplace, alongside other heritage and cultural groups.
