Hundreds of music fans packed Keel Square as 90s pop stars brought a day of nostalgic hits to Sunderland.
Love the 90s, part of the city’s One Big Summer programme, saw performances from Eternal, Steps singer Claire Richards, Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton, Amelle from the Sugababes and DJ Sammy.

Classic dance tracks and pop singalongs rang out across the city centre as families, groups of friends and visitors gathered for the event.
The square was transformed into a lively outdoor party, with fans of all ages singing along to well-known songs from the decade.

The event was one of the headline attractions in Sunderland’s summer events programme, which aims to bring more people into the city centre and support nearby businesses.
One Big Summer will continue next weekend (August 29 and 30), with further events planned and tickets still available through the My Sunderland website.
