Search the Public Notice Portal A stretch of road has been made subject to a new 50mph speed limit under an amended traffic order introduced by Stockton Council.
The limit applies to Durham Lane, Eaglescliffe, from a point approximately 370 metres south of its junction with the A66/Elton Interchange, southwards to a point approximately 182 metres north of its junction with Cleasby Way.

The affected section is described as running in a southerly direction. It begins approximately 370 metres south of the interchange and ends approximately 182 metres north of Cleasby Way.
The sealed order and a map showing affected roads are available for examination at Stockton Customer Service Centre, Central Library, The Square, Stockton, during normal office hours. They can also be viewed on the council’s website under Traffic Orders.
The notice says anyone wishing to question the order’s validity, or any provision in it, may apply to the High Court. Any challenge must be based on the order not being within powers given by the 1984 Act, or on a failure to meet a requirement of the Act or an instrument made under it.
Such an application must be made within six weeks from August 20.
