A motorist has had a conviction for failing to identify a driver set aside, before admitting a speeding offence committed on the A1(M) in County Durham.
Robert Justin Flaws, 46, of Leazes Crescent, Hexham, appeared at Peterlee Magistrates' Court on August 20.
Flaws had faced charges of speeding and failing to provide driver information.
The court set aside his earlier conviction for failing to give driver information, withdrawing that offence.

Flaws then admitted, by guilty plea, to driving a Nissan on the A1(M) between Bowburn and Bradbury at speeds above the 70 mph limit on December 28, 2025.
He was fined £204, ordered to pay an £81 victim surcharge and £130 in costs.
His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.
