A man was bitten by a dog in York – and police are urging the owner to come forward.
It happened at around 3.10pm onMonday(17 August) on** Weddall Close**, off Tadcaster Road.
The man was bitten on the leg by a dog that was on the owner’s lead.

Police are trying to identify the owner of the dog.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We have some very good still images of the owner, and we may release them to the public, but we would like the owner to come forward, in the first instance.
“The owner is described as an older white female, brown hair in a bob cut, wearing black glasses, a leopard skin print coat, blue shirt and cream trousers.
“To help jog the owner’s memory … images of the dog are attached.
“The owner is described as being dismissive of what happened, and disputed that the male had even been bitten.”
