A PUBLIC screening is set to spark community conversations about climate change and nature loss.
The People’s Emergency Briefing will be shown at the Civic Centre in Keighley on Saturday, August 29, at 7.30pm, followed by a discussion.
Part of a UK-wide programme, the event aims to inform both the public and decision-makers about the realities of the climate and nature crisis.
The film is a 50-minute adaptation of the National Emergency Briefing held in November 2025 at Westminster Central Hall, where more than 1,200 MPs, peers, and leaders gathered to hear from experts about the UK’s exposure to climate and nature risks.
Introduced by Chris Packham CBE, the original briefing outlined the dangers and implications of climate and nature breakdown for food security, public health, infrastructure, the economy, and national security.
The People’s Emergency Briefing, launched nationwide on April 7, features leading scientists who explain the likely impacts of these crises and explores what they could mean for communities across the UK.
The screening is free to attend, though advance registration is recommended.
